Tenix Health has raised $4.0M in seed funding. The Brooklyn-based startup targets a costly blind spot for healthcare providers: the gap between what payer contracts say they're owed and what they actually collect.
Tenix models a provider's contracts against its billing data to surface underpayments, then pursues recovery from appeal through payment, charging only on what it recovers. Getting started requires just uploading agreements and exporting billing data, with no EMR integration or IT project. The company was founded by veterans of Epic Systems and Insight Partners, and its backers and advisors include senior operators from Cedar, Geisinger, Hospital for Special Surgery, Mayo Clinic, and Veradigm.
