HapWare has raised $1.5M in pre-seed funding to build out ALEYE, a wearable device that translates nonverbal cues into something people who are blind, low vision, neurodivergent or deaf-blind can feel in real time.
ALEYE is a pair of glasses with an embedded camera that reads facial expressions, body language and gestures, then converts them into vibration patterns on the wearer's wrist - a smile, an extended handshake, a wave. The company frames the work plainly: access to information as a fundamental right, not a luxury. HapWare is a Techstars '25 company.
