Voltus, the technology platform and virtual power plant operator that helps commercial and industrial customers monetize their distributed energy resources, has closed a $225.0M Series d funding round. The company connects flexible load, distributed generation, energy storage, energy efficiency, and electric vehicle resources to electricity markets, aiming to deliver less expensive, more reliable, and more sustainable power.
The substantial capital infusion drew backing from a diverse group of investors, including Climate Investment (CI), Generation Investment Management, Activate Capital, Vitol, Broadscale Group, NGP, Salix Ventures, and All Aboard Fund. Voltus's platform allows partners to generate cash by maximizing the value of these resources in energy markets.
