Kyulux has raised $53.7M in Series D funding, with LG Display and Samsung Venture Investment Corporation among the investors backing the Japanese materials developer.
The Fukuoka-based company, founded in 2015, develops hyperfluorescence TADF emitters for next-generation OLED displays and lighting. The technology, invented at Kyushu University by co-founder Dr. Chihaya Adachi and exclusively licensed to Kyulux, combines TADF and fluorescence emitters to enable highly efficient emission, low cost and high color purity. SMBC Capital Partners, H&Q and BNW also participated in the round.
