Sofab Inks, a chemical manufacturer focused on specialized inks for perovskite solar cell production, has raised $6.0M in seed funding. The University of Louisville spin-out, founded in 2022 out of the Conn Center for Renewable Energy Research, makes products it says offer cost advantages and greater process flexibility while emphasizing quality control standards.
The company's broader mission is to accelerate the decarbonization of electrification by improving the efficiency, scalability, stability, and bankability of solar cells.
