The race to embed advanced sensing technology into everyday devices just got a boost. Seetrum, a high-tech company spun out of Tsinghua University, has announced it secured $13.8M in seed funding to advance its spectral chips and AI algorithms.
The company is developing a snapshot CMOS hyperspectral imaging chip designed for high resolution, low cost, and mass production. This technology aims to expand sensing applications across smartphones, medical devices, machine vision, AR, autopilot systems, and smart cities, with the goal of making spectral sensing ubiquitous.
