Beyang Therapeutics has raised $30.0M in a Series A round, a vote of confidence for its ExCEED platforms, which aim to speed up drug discovery in areas where patients have few options. The financing was backed by a syndicate that includes Legend Capital, Shanghai Healthcare Capital, and China Medical System Holdings Limited, among others.
The company’s pitch rests on experience: its founders and management team collectively logged over two decades at Pfizer, Merck, AstraZeneca, and Hengrui, and have helped push more than 10 clinical candidates forward, with three drugs already approved by the FDA and NMPA. That track record, paired with the new capital, suggests Beyang is positioning itself to move from platform promise to pipeline delivery.
