Oktogrid, a startup working to bring the world's electricity transformers online, has secured $4.6M in new funding. The investment, led by ABB Electrification Ventures, will fuel the company's mission to digitize critical grid infrastructure for a safer energy transition.
The company's technology allows electricity providers to add a digital interface to any transformer in less than ten minutes, providing non-invasive, real-time access to critical performance data. This enables better monitoring, forecasting, and reaction to local congestions, ultimately reducing asset management costs and turning an energy challenge into a data science opportunity.
