Bringing sophisticated cloud-based image recognition to everything from brewery labs to cattle farms, Oculyze has closed a $100K seed round. The startup leverages machine learning and AI to transfer computer vision software for lab equipment from the tabletop to the cloud, initially proving its approach with yeast cell counters for breweries and wineries.
This seed capital will fuel Oculyze's expansion beyond its current offerings, which also include an on-site diagnostic for cow endometritis. The company plans to apply its proven technology to new applications like blood or sperm counts, parasite detection, and asbestos fiber analysis, often by upgrading existing lab hardware with its APIs and apps.
