The race to make space more accessible just got a boost, as MJOLNIR SPACEWORKS, the Japanese startup developing mass-producible rocket engines, announced it has raised $11.1M in Series b funding. The company is tackling the looming "launch crisis" in the rapidly growing small satellite market, where current launch capacities are both short and costly.
MJOLNIR SPACEWORKS aims to deliver "Simple, Safe & Low-cost" Propulsion Systems through its hybrid rocket engines, which use readily available plastic fuel, and its innovative weldless fuel tanks. This approach promises significantly reduced costs and simpler engine structures, with the ambitious goal of making rocket travel as common as driving a car.
