株式会社カミナシ has raised $14.0M in Series C funding. The Tokyo-based company builds the Kaminashi series, a field digitization platform aimed at non-desk workers - the roughly 39 million people in Japan who work in environments where a PC isn't part of the job, from elevator inspectors and restaurant staff to factory workers and airport security guards. That's more than half the country's employed workforce, and most of the digitization push so far has been built for white-collar desks. Kaminashi's pitch is to give the other half tools made for how they actually work.
