As AI-generated code increasingly finds its way into production, a new pre-seed round totaling $2.0M has been secured by LeoTrace, a startup tackling software vulnerabilities at the source. Twin Path Ventures and Golden Egg Check led the investment in the company, which aims to prevent insecure code from ever reaching engineers.
LeoTrace's core product, LeoPrevent, works directly within coding agents to intercept and correct model output before it ships, eliminating the need for traditional review steps. The company claims its solution removes roughly half the vulnerabilities that would otherwise make it into production, a capability already in use with tier-1 financial institutions in the UK and US. Its team brings fifteen years each of experience in offensive security and AppSec.
