Kadma Advanced Materials has raised $6.0M in Series A funding. The company is a spinout of sorts from the team behind Concretene, the graphene-enhanced concrete additive, and it's taking a broader swing at commercializing graphene.
Where Concretene focused on admixtures for cementitious applications, Kadma is pushing into coatings, advanced composites, printed electronics and energy storage through a functionalised graphene product called Mirogo. The pitch is that it delivers performance from sustainable feedstocks while bringing down the cost of adopting nanotechnology at industrial scale.
