The UK's electric vehicle charging landscape just got a significant boost, as Be.EV, a network known for its rapid and ultra-rapid hubs, announced it has raised $69.8M in new capital. The company, which manages over 800 charging bays nationwide, is the UK’s second-highest rated rapid/ultra-rapid charging network by EV drivers, according to Zapmap.
Majority owned by Octopus Energy Generation, one of Europe’s largest renewable energy investors, Be.EV focuses on providing publicly accessible charging hubs conveniently located on busy routes, at dwell destinations, and within communities. The wider Octopus Energy group supplies the network with deep green energy, traceable back to its source.
