The push for fossil-free materials just got a $1.4M boost. Treeless, an ETH Zurich spin-off developing microorganism-based cellulose materials, announced it has closed a seed funding round.
The company's mission is to end plastic pollution by enabling the transition to bio-based, fossil-free material production. Treeless aims to provide sustainable alternatives to conventional plastics, leveraging its innovative biotechnology to create materials that can replace traditional, environmentally harmful options.
