i14 has raised $2.8M in seed funding, with Tin Alley Ventures, IP Group and Genesis Pre-Seed Fund backing the round.
The company builds AI architectures grounded in its team's decades of computational cognitive science research. i14 says its designs are orders of magnitude more efficient in both training and inference, improve continuously, and handle complex long-range tasks where other approaches fall short. The aim is a different kind of AI: models and agents small and efficient enough that anyone, anywhere can build, own and run them, learning each user's or company's specific needs as they go.
