PathoSense, a Ghent University spin-off, has raised $500K in seed funding. The company has built a sample-collection-to-diagnostic interpretation platform for infectious diseases in veterinary medicine, using nanopore sequencing to give a full overview of all pathogens in a sample without prior knowledge.
PathoSense is scaling the platform by setting up partnerships with veterinary diagnostic laboratories across Europe. It's also an Oxford Nanopore Technologies Certified Services Provider, offering bacterial and viral whole genome sequencing and microbiome analysis.
