Renata Medical, the company behind the FDA-approved Minima Stent System designed to treat congenital heart disease in the smallest patients, has secured $25.0M in Series d funding. The investment round was led by healthcare-focused private equity firm ArchiMed.
The Minima Stent System, which became the first and only FDA-approved stent for neonates, infants, and young children in August 2024, offers a unique solution: it can be implanted in small vessels and then expanded over the course of a patient's adolescence up to adult sizes. Renata Medical currently offers the system in the U.S. and plans to expand access to Europe and Asia.
