A $66.0M Series D round has been secured by Abcuro, Inc., a clinical-stage biotech developing therapies aimed at autoimmune and cancer conditions driven by cytotoxic T and NK cells.
The company is pushing forward ABC008, a first-in-class antibody designed to deplete the cytotoxic T cells that attack healthy muscle in inclusion body myositis, a progressive inflammatory condition with no approved pharmaceutical options. Abcuro has already earned FDA orphan drug designation for that candidate, and it’s also advancing ABC015, a separate antibody meant to reactivate suppressed immune cells within tumors. The fresh capital will support these clinical efforts, though specific use-of-funds details were not disclosed.
