Craif Inc. has raised $33.3M in a Series D round, a fresh infusion of capital for the Japanese molecular diagnostics company as it pushes its early cancer detection platform into the U.S. market.
The company’s flagship product, the miSignal test, screens for seven cancers-pancreatic, ovarian, esophageal, lung, breast, colorectal, and gastric-and has been commercially available in Japan since 2022, with revenue growth of over 400% year-over-year. Craif is also running a clinical trial for a pancreatic cancer diagnostic aimed at high-risk populations, with plans to seek FDA and PMDA approval and secure insurance reimbursement in both the U.S. and Japan. The company established a U.S. arm in 2023 and is now validating its assay on American patients, focusing on pancreatic cancer given the acute unmet need there.
