A new treatment option for hundreds of thousands of patients needing ostomies has just secured $5.0M in Seed funding for Phantom GI. The startup, which enables minimally invasive procedures using needle access under local anesthetic, announced the round with backing from Pitango, RAD BioMed, and RUNI Ventures.
Phantom GI's technology promises recovery in days, not weeks, for patients. The company is starting with inoperable cases, with an ambitious goal to eventually replace the current surgical standard.
