French fintech Olenbee has raised $7.0M in seed funding, a bet that employee benefits can be woven directly into everyday payments rather than locked inside clunky, closed-loop systems. The round is backed by Bpifrance, FEDER, All'n Breizh, and Val De France Angels.
Olenbee’s pitch is simple: billions of euros in meal vouchers and gift cards sit trapped in legacy infrastructure, forcing workers to juggle plastic cards and merchant networks. The company’s tech claims to recognize eligible purchases in real time-whether paid by card, phone, or watch-and automatically refund the benefit straight to the user’s bank account. Merchants get paid instantly, employers stop tying up cash, and the whole friction-heavy model starts to look obsolete. The startup, which calls itself an *entreprise à mission*, plans to expand beyond restaurant and gift benefits into mobility, culture, and cashback next.
