A biological resource long overlooked and discarded is now attracting investor attention. Muse Bio, a biomanufacturing company built on the stem cells found in menstrual blood, has raised $1.1M in pre-seed funding.
The capital, backed by Draper VC and Boost VC, will support Muse Bio as it develops the first full manufacturing platform around this unique input. The startup aims to transform menstrual biology into high-quality ingredients and biological assets, starting with applications in skincare, positioning itself at the foundation of a new generation of biotech.
