The future of sustainable seafood just got a $22.0M boost. Atarraya, the company behind the patented Shrimpbox™ controlled-environment modules, has secured new funding to scale its antibiotic-free shrimp farming operations.
Atarraya's proprietary software manages these modules, which not only raise shrimp without antibiotics or effluent but also convert every tank’s biofloc into a regenerative biofertilizer, closing the loop from water to soil. The company, recognized by TIME Best Inventions ’22 and Edison Awards ’24, currently operates farms in Indiana, New Jersey, and Oaxaca, Mexico.
