Maculaser Ltd has secured $5.1M in new funding, backing its work on a laser-based approach to treating common retinal diseases like dry Age-Related Macular Degeneration.
The company’s technology centers on precise temperature control of the macula during non-damaging laser treatments-a method that could make previously infeasible therapies possible. With direct healthcare costs for major retinal diseases exceeding $400B globally, the potential market is vast, and the funding will help Maculaser push its platform toward clinical use. The round’s investors were not disclosed.
