ProducePay has raised $140.0M to take on the waste and volatility baked into the global fresh produce supply chain. The AgTech company, founded by fourth-generation farmer Pablo Borquez Schwarzbeck, is building what it calls a Predictable Commerce Platform - giving growers and buyers more direct access to each other, along with capital, trading tools, and supply chain visibility.
The pitch rests on a fragmented, opaque market where produce often spoils before it sells. ProducePay says its approach gives both sides more control over their business while getting fresher produce to consumers more efficiently.
