3cat, the Malaysian circular economy startup aiming to make secondhand electronics the first choice across Southeast Asia, has secured a $4.0M Series A funding round. The capital infusion comes from Foxmont Capital Partners, Asian Development Bank (ADB), and Golden Gate Ventures.
Founded in 2023 as a single store in Kuala Lumpur, 3cat has rapidly grown into one of Malaysia’s largest tech-enabled retailers of high-quality used electronics, now operating over 20 retail outlets nationwide with integrated AI-driven e-commerce. The company plans to expand to 100 stores across multiple Southeast Asian markets within the next two years.
