WIOCC has secured $300.0M in new funding, a significant capital injection for the company that builds and operates the fiber and data infrastructure underpinning much of Africa’s cross-border internet traffic.
The company’s network is the backbone for hyperscalers, cloud operators, and telecoms looking to move data across the continent and connect to global markets. With this round, WIOCC gains deeper financial firepower to expand its infrastructure footprint, a critical piece as demand for reliable digital services in Africa accelerates. The investors behind the round were not disclosed.
