Vitara has raised $2.0M from AgriFI and Acumen. The West African company, formerly known as Sommalife, partners with women small-scale farmers to supply traceable commodities to global food and cosmetic manufacturers.
At the center of that work is TreeSyt, Vitara's digital traceability platform, which gives farmers tools, training, and financing to connect directly with international buyers. The company also reinvests in farming communities through capacity building, prefinancing, and environmental restoration.
