The Portuguese automotive sector saw a fresh injection of capital as Toyota Caetano Portugal, S.A. announced it has raised $8.2M. The funding will support the company's extensive operations, which span the import of Toyota passenger cars and commercial vehicles, as well as the distribution and after-sales service for Toyota and BT material handling machines across Portugal.
Founded in 1946, Toyota Caetano Portugal also plays a key role in manufacturing, assembling Land Cruiser 70 models for export from its Ovar facility and incorporating components into commercial vehicles. Its activities further include the import and sale of parts and technical assistance for Toyota vehicles.
