For decades, The Food Bank of Waterloo Region has been the backbone of emergency food support across its namesake region, operating a vast network that feeds thousands. Its critical work has now received a boost with a $7K grant from the Region of Waterloo.
The funding will support the organization's role as a central distribution hub, acquiring and delivering fresh, frozen, and non-perishable food to 54 partner organizations and 132 food assistance programs. This network, which includes the Cambridge Food Bank, ensures adults, children, and families across Waterloo region have access to essential food support close to home.
