An Austrian startup building autonomous underwater technology for critical maritime infrastructure, subdron, has closed a $6.0M Seed funding round. The capital infusion will fuel the company's proprietary platform, designed for inspection, monitoring, and data intelligence in complex subsea environments.
subdron's systems combine robotics, AI-based data processing, and robust hardware engineering to provide reliable subsea situational awareness. Their dual-use technology supports a range of clients from port authorities and ship operators to subsea cable owners and maritime security stakeholders, aiming to reduce operational costs, increase safety, and minimize environmental impact.
