The race to deliver practical quantum advantage just got a $40.0M boost for Silicon Quantum Computing, which has closed its Series b funding round. The Sydney-based company manufactures its own quantum computing chips in-house, using machines that allow atom-by-atom control to produce the world's highest quality qubits and achieve the highest reported fidelities on quantum algorithms.
Led by CEO Michelle Simmons, the materials scientist behind the first single-atom transistor, SQC has already developed a full-stack quantum computer. The company, which delivers quantum advantage today with its QML chips and molecular simulators, is chaired by former ARM CEO Simon Segars.
