Roma AI has raised $1.2M in seed funding, a bet on the idea that building AI-powered customer assistants shouldn't require a technical team. The round was backed by Invexor Venture Partners and Ramón Heredia.
The Montevideo-based startup offers an agentic platform that lets companies create and run conversational assistants in minutes, using natural language to automate sales, collections, scheduling, and other processes across WhatsApp, Instagram, and the web. It plugs into existing systems like CRMs and ERPs, and already operates in Uruguay, Chile, Argentina, and Mexico. The pitch is straightforward: give small and mid-sized businesses a way to deploy AI without hiring engineers, and let the platform handle thousands of conversations at once.
