The market for industrial robots tackling hazardous "working-at-height" tasks just got a boost, as RobotPlusPlus announced it has raised $40.0M in a Series C funding round. The engineering-led company develops autonomous robotic solutions, combining robotics, AI, and Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) to enhance safety and efficiency in challenging environments.
RobotPlusPlus's specialized robots perform surface preparation, including rust, paint, and coating removal, for sectors like marine (ship hulls, cargo holds) and petrochemical and Oil & Gas (above-ground storage tanks). The company, which states it's the largest global provider of these solutions, has already cleaned roughly 1 million square meters with its technology.
