百奥几何 has raised $100.0M in Series A funding. The Beijing-based company uses generative AI to understand the language of life and rebuild the protein drug discovery and design process, aiming to create programmable proteins that address the high cost, long timelines, low success rates, and undruggability of traditional large-molecule drugs.
The round drew backing from China Life Capital, Shanghai Biomedical Innovation and Translation Fund, CDB Technology Venture Capital, Real Power Capital, Guofang Ventures, and Fortune Capital. Founded in 2021 by Dr. Tang Jian, a top scientist in AI drug discovery, the company counts Turing Award winner and "father of AI" Yoshua Bengio as chief scientific advisor. It has built two foundational platforms - an AI-driven large-molecule drug design platform and a high-throughput wet-lab validation platform - creating a dry-wet experiment loop that is now being used to help partners achieve precise, efficient large-molecule drug design and optimization.
