The ambitious vision of bringing portable nuclear microreactors to the masses just got a significant financial boost. Radiant, the company developing the world’s first mass-produced units, has raised $465.0M to further its development.
Founded in 2020, Radiant is building Kaleidos, a 1 MW failsafe microreactor designed for transport to any location needing power. The company plans to test its first reactor in 2026, with initial customer deployments beginning in 2028.
