Phononic Vibes has raised $27.9M to scale its metamaterial-based noise and vibration control business. The Milan-based company designs and manufactures products it says are up to 30% lighter and better performing than conventional solutions, serving rail, energy, industry, construction, and mobility markets.
The round drew Jolt Capital, EUREKA! Venture SGR, CDP Venture Capital SGR, and SIMEST Spa. Beyond hardware, Phononic Vibes offers meta-design services that help OEMs work metamaterials into their own products.
