Autonomous chip design just got a significant vote of confidence. Phinity Labs, a startup developing "prompt-to-ASIC" agent infrastructure to enable fully autonomous chip design, has closed a $5.2M seed funding round.
The capital infusion, backed by investors Pear VC, Moxxie Ventures, and prominent technologist Jeff Dean, will support Phinity's mission to streamline the intricate process of creating application-specific integrated circuits. Its technology aims to automate what has traditionally been a highly manual and specialized engineering domain, a critical area as demand for custom hardware grows.
