OPENCHIP & SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGIES, a European developer of powerful and efficient accelerator chips, has secured $127.4M in new funding. The company designs these accelerators for high-performance computing (HPC), AI/ML/DL applications, leveraging silicon technology nodes and the RISC-V architecture to achieve digital sovereignty in the HPC domain.
This significant capital injection underscores Openchip's role in Europe's digital transformation, enabling faster scientific research, data visualization, and intelligent services. The European Commission has recognized Openchip as an Important Project of Common European Interest, supporting its research, innovation, and industrial deployment in microelectronics and communications technologies.
