NUNOS, a spin-off from the German Aerospace Center (DLR), has raised $653K in seed funding.
The company has developed technology that biologically processes manure into a liquid fertilizer that plants can absorb directly, allowing for precise, needs-based feeding while reducing reliance on expensive industrial fertilizers. The odor-neutral solution can be applied using conventional manure equipment, and its modular design is meant to be robust, low-maintenance, and easy to implement on farms. The goal is to establish regional nutrient cycles and make agriculture more sustainable and independent.
