The push for simpler, smaller, and more affordable nuclear power just got a significant boost, with Nuclear Turbines announcing a $19.9M pre-seed funding round. The startup, co-founded by Jeremy Owston and Professor Tim Abram, is building on decades of British engineering excellence and its origins as a spin-out from BAE Systems.
This substantial early-stage capital comes from a syndicate of investors including IQ Capital, Rhapsody Venture Partners, Zero Carbon, and Empirical Ventures. They're backing Nuclear Turbines' clear commercial thesis: that the next generation of nuclear must be simpler, smaller, and more affordable.
