Viridi, a University of Southampton spinout that turns waste carbon dioxide into high-value chemical products, has raised $2.9M. The company is based out of the School of Chemistry at the university.
TOP Ventures, Odyssey Ventures, Alphatron Group B.V. and Impact Ventures participated in the round. Viridi's technology is aimed at chemical manufacturers and the foundation industries, which would use captured CO2 as a feedstock rather than releasing it.
