We didn't set out to start a company; we just really wanted to see if AI could handle the heavy lifting of tissue classification. Born out of UCL, Octopath is our way of taking the algorithms we obsessed over during our PhDs and putting them to work for pathologists. No sales fluff—just better tools to help clinicians get through the glass slides and back to the patients. We’re a team of scientists who think computers should handle the repetitive counting and measuring so humans don't have to. We spend our days at the intersection of code and biology, building the specific tools (like our mitotic figure and margin algorithms) that we wish existed years ago.

Raiser is the first company to build tech exclusively designed for the needs of small charities (which is nuts, because they make up the majority of the sector 🤦‍♀️) While the hundreds of thousands of small-but-mighty community organisations are busy delivering extraordinary impact across society, they're stuck navigating systems designed for massive organisations. Grant applications that take forever to complete, reporting requirements that suck time away from actual charity work — basically, everything makes running a small charity way harder than it needs to be. We're here to end the craziness! Our vision is simple: small charities should have access to world-class technology that amplifies their impact, not bureaucracy that drowns it. Instead of those soul-crushing application forms, we're building an impact-driven platform where charities showcase the difference they make, and funders can discover and support them based on real outcomes. But this is just the beginning. From here, our vision is to tackle one inefficiency after another — from monitoring and evaluation, to volunteer management, HR training and development, and even banking. Nothing is off limits.
