New Origin has raised $44.7M to build out manufacturing for silicon nitride photonic chips. The Dutch company is a pure-play foundry for the technology, producing photonic integrated circuits for customers around the world.
New Origin is drawing on three decades of silicon nitride expertise in the Netherlands, and it works closely with the University of Twente, MESA+ Nanolab, and other photonic companies to push integrated photonics forward.
