Munro Vehicles has raised $2.6M from Elbow Beach, capital that lands as the electric 4x4 maker pushes further into the kind of terrain most EV startups avoid entirely.
The company builds hand-built electric off-roaders engineered from a clean sheet for extreme environments - tested in live mining at temperatures down to -32掳C and across more than 75,000 test miles. Munro took Best Off-Roader at Top Gear's 2026 EV Awards, where the magazine's verdict was blunt: "This isn't a car, it's a bulldozer." Each vehicle is built to individual customer requirements, with an in-house AI-native automotive toolchain, MunroOS, underpinning the whole operation.
