The Motley Fool has raised $25.0M in a new funding round, backed by BIA Digital Partners and Patriot Capital. The investment lands as the financial media and advice company looks to extend its reach beyond its core stock-picking services.
The firm, which built its name on plain-spoken investing guidance drawn from Shakespeare’s wise-cracking court jester, offers everything from free market commentary to premium memberships with model portfolios and live trading-hour analysis. With millions of individual investors relying on its content, the fresh capital gives the company room to push further into making financial advice feel less like a Wall Street lecture and more like a conversation with a trusted friend.
