Neuron Industries has raised $10.0M in seed funding to take on the programmable logic controller, the decades-old workhorse of factory automation. The round was backed by FCVC, Obvious Ventures, Y Combinator, Thin Line Capital, Zee Prime Capital, and Founder Factor.
The company builds the Cortex AIC, an AI-native industrial controller it describes as a clean-slate rebuild of the industrial control stack, from hardware to AI. The device folds the IDE, HMI, historian, and data stack into a single unit with no software or runtime licenses, and the company says it can cut controls-engineering projects from weeks to minutes.
