Moment Energy, the Canadian cleantech company giving electric vehicle batteries a second life as energy storage systems, has secured a $40.0M Series b funding round. The capital infusion will fuel the company's mission to provide reliable, environmentally friendly power solutions, keeping batteries from ending up in landfills.
The firm, which partners with automakers like Nissan North America and Mercedes Benz Energy, helps off-grid customers reduce diesel consumption and transition to renewables, while also offering peak shaving and backup power for commercial and industrial clients. Investors in the round include Evok Innovations, Liberty Mutual Investments, W23, Acario, Voyager Ventures, IQT, Amazon's Climate Pledge Fund, Version One Ventures, MCJ, Overture Ventures, Fika Ventures, and Garage Capital.
