Coding agents are becoming the new power users of developer tools, and Lightsage is building the infrastructure to help companies track exactly how those agents interact with their products. The company has raised $4.0M in seed funding to double down on that mission.
Nexus Venture Partners led the round, with participation from a roster of individual backers including Postman co-founder Abhinav Asthana, along with Robert Chatwani, Matt Curl, and Steven Tamm. Lightsage's platform lets enterprises and unicorn startups monitor, benchmark, and improve how coding agents discover and use their APIs, CLIs, and MCPs - aiming to make their tools the default recommendation agents turn to. The company also runs DevToolArena.com, a public benchmark that ranks developer tools across categories like auth, inference, and voice, using Claude Code and Codex as the testing agents.
